Since coming to NASA at the start of 2007, I’ve lamented the fact that there is (at least) one thing that NASA does horribly–public relations. The agency doesn’t handle bad news well…two words, Lisa Nowak…but perhaps more regrettably falls far short of inspiring current and future generations to ‘buy in’ to the vision and excitement of space exploration. The day to day routine can get mundane, like every other job, but let’s be honest–this is a pretty cool place to work!
